The Ministry of the Environment has initiated a project called Call for RFI proposals for the local authorities, in order to separate waste into wet. Orhitec has developed GIS software (based on ESRI ARCENGINE technology, with SQL database) for the gathering of information and management of waste facilities. Based on the software output data, the local authorities can plan their tender, as well as planning the location of containers inside the private lots, types of facilities, required number of units according to the building tenants, waste removal frequency, etc. With this important project, the local authorities can promote a higher standard of living and quality of life according to the "Green World" model by improving their waste removal and facilities maintenance. In doing so, millions of shekels can be saved which are currently wasted. During software development, a survey is being done for the local authorities to examine the collection infrastructure (containers and facilities) including suitability examination to wet or dry sources. When the survey is completed, as an additional feature, the software will allow you to add more map layers (used by the "Shefa Bureau"), for example, public benches, public gardens and green areas, playgrounds, etc. This computerized module, installed at the offices of the local authorities, includes all of the needed geographic information located on a city map, and alphanumeric information of any defined object.
